Grand Awards go to shops in New York and Helsinki

Awards Presentation Attended By 200 Advertising and Marketing Professionals From Over 20 Countries

New York, January 29, 2004: The 2004 ame awards®, for advertising & marketing effectiveness, the only truly international awards competition of this kind, were presented at a Gala Awards Ceremony at the Hudson Theatre in New York City tonight. The Grand Awards were presented by Bob Kuperman, President and CEO of DDB New York.

The AME Grand Award for the Best Not For Profit Campaign went to hasan & partners, of Helsinki, Finland, for their “Recycle” campaign for Hackman-Littala.

The AME Grand Award for Best Special Recognition for use of media was awarded to an integrated marketing campaign from J Walter Thompson NY for Novell.

And the AME Grand Award fpr Best Product or Service Campaign went to The Kaplan Thaler Group in New York for their ongoing “AFLAC” campaign for the American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus.

Some 300 campaigns from 27 countries were entered in the 2004 competition. Judging of the AME awards was held in Denmark, Australia, Germany, Spain, Canada and in the United States. 17 Gold Medallions were awarded to campaigns from Brazil, the United Kingdom, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Korea, Germany and the United States.
